For those who haven't heard of Ty Mahon, he was a political cartoonist during WWII for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin. Mostly you see prints in black & white...almost all of political in nature...but he also created many colorful illustration for magazines...some of a risque nature

This original watercolor, which has never been on the market previously, shows people sitting around in an office of some sort waiting to purchase war bonds with posters for war bonds & other WWII post slogans on the walls, as well as some registration type place for veterans. The painting itself measures 29" wide x 22" high (original framing 39.5" x 30"). This watercolor was owned exclusively by the artist & his wife (it has been passed down in the family until now). It is full of everyday life from the was era.
